Celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Snake with our enchanting Red Door Snake Sour. Inspired by the powerful and auspicious snake, the deliciously aromatic Red Door Snake Sour is a bold mix of flavours that combines sweet and sour. This signature serve will delight your palate with sweet hibiscus syrup, zesty lemon juice and the spiced herbal aromas of Angostura Bitters. Topped with a light, airy foam.    

Ingredients

  • 50ml Red Door Highland Gin
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 20ml Hibiscus Syrup
  • 2 drops of Angostura Bitters *
  • 1/2 Egg White

Method

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and dry shake (without ice). Add ice and shake again. Fine strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a twist of orange and edible gold leaf.

*To make hibiscus syrup: brew half a cup of hibiscus tea, add 1 cup of sugar and stir to dissolve. Store in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.
