Red Door Moments:
Easter

Open the red door to Easter!

With the long Easter weekend just around the corner, now is the best time to start preparing for a ‘eggs-tra’ special Easter celebration with friends and family. In the UK it is common to invite loved ones over for a delightful traditional Easter lunch, so here at Red Door Gin we want to make this an excellent celebration. Here are some of our top tips and activities for the whole family to enjoy…

Easter Gifts

When it comes to handcrafting your own gift for someone the lists are endless, this Easter why not make some of your own sweet treats to share with your friends and family over the break. Nothing says love and appreciation more than homemade gifts!

Handcrafted Decorations

Set the scene for your Easter lunch by handcrafting decorations and setting the table. You could begin by collecting materials you have in your home already, or by popping down to your local arts and crafts store. Bring in those spring pastel colours, to transform your home and get everyone in the mood for Easter and spring celebrations.

Easter Lunch

The Easter celebrations wouldn’t be complete without the perfect lunch and we’re looking forward to catching up with friends and family over great food and drinks and embracing those warmer and lighter days!

Our Red Door Highland Gin is a great addition to your delightful Easter Lunch that all your guests will enjoy! We have plenty of cocktails to choose from, find the perfect match to go with those sweet Easter treats!

Spring Activities

We recommend getting out in the great outdoors this Easter, taking in that spring fresh air, watching the flowers bloom as we say goodbye to the colder winter months. Not to mention, all that walking can be thirsty work, so be sure to have a bottle of Red Door Gin on standby for those light and refreshing cocktails when you get home.

Cocktail of the Moment

Affectionately described as ‘dessert in a glass’, our Red Door Alexander is a deliciously indulgent cocktail combining creamy Crème de cacao with gin and single cream.

Ingredients

  • 35ml Red Door Highland Gin with Winter Botanicals
  • 25ml brown crème de cacao
  • 25ml single cream
  • ½ egg white

Method

Add all ingredients with ice to a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously, and fine strain into a chilled couple glass. For added warmth you can garnish with shaved nutmeg (or cinnamon if you don’t have any).
