Open The Red Door…
Our idea was simple; to capture the spirit of Scotland’s majestic mountains, forests and coastal fringes in a deliciously distinctive, small-batch Highland gin.
Handcrafted in our copper pot still, Peggy, Red Door Gin is a London Dry Gin vapour-infused with a heart of finest juniper and unique selection of locally-inspired botanicals.
Beautifully balanced with a sumptuously smooth mouthfeel, Red Door Gin can be sipped and savoured neat, or enjoyed as the base to a sensational gin and tonic.
Classic
Our classic London Dry Gin has a heart of finest juniper with deliciously complex notes of sea buckthorn, pearls of heather and rowan berries.
Seasonal
Our limited-edition seasonal gin captures flavours reminiscent of winter with notes of warming allspice, blood orange, sultanas and hop blossom.
Discover our botanicals…
Carefully selected for a full-bodied flavour, Red Door Gin balances five core gin botanicals with the deliciously distinctive flavours of three botanicals inspired by the local landscape.
Locally-inspired botanicals
Our unique selection of three locally-inspired botanicals includes, pearls of heather, common on Scottish hillsides, rowan berries, found in local wooded areas, and sea buckthorn, growing wild in Scotland’s coastal areas.
Classic gin botanicals
Our five, classic gin botanicals (juniper berries, lemon peel, bitter orange peel, coriander seed and angelica root) create the base to a London Dry Gin with a complex palate and a lusciously long finish.
Discover what’s behind the Red Door
We’ve been handcrafting spirits here in the Scottish Highlands for over 120 years, with meticulous attention to detail and quality. Named after our distillery’s distinctive red doors, Red Door Gin marks a new chapter in our distillery’s long and proud history.
Peggy, hard at work

Peggy’s capacity is 500 litres & each distillation run produces the equivalent of 762 bottles of Red Door Gin.
Each batch of Red Door takes 5 ½ hours to perfect and we use just over 6.5kg of our 8 botanicals in every batch.
Peggy uses a vapour infusion distillation method- in this method, the botanicals do not come into contact with the liquid spirit at all. Instead they are placed in Peggy’s ‘botanicals basket’, encountering the spirit as vapour.
We distil at 55% ABV (this is the strength of the Grain Neutral Spirit (GNS), which is wheat based.) The spirit comes off at an average of 80% ABV which is then taken down to 45% ABV for bottling.
