Gold Medal Win for Red Door Gin

Red Door Gin has been awarded a Gold Medal in the London Dry Gin category at this year’s Gin Masters – a competition organised by drinks industry bible The Spirits Business and judged by a panel of leading spirits specialists from across the UK.

Created to recognise “masters in their fields”, all entries into The Global Spirits Masters are judged completely blind and the London Dry category is one of the most highly contested in the competition. To be awarded a Gold Medal, spirits must score between 80-89 points out of 100.

The judges were particularly impressed by Red Door Gin’s quality and flavour profile with tasting notes focusing on the gin’s “chocolatey nose, earthy taste, woody, rooty notes and a little liquorice sweetness. Good complexity.”

Red Door is a London Dry gin, made using a unique combination of five traditional gin botanicals and three that have been inspired by Scotland’s unique natural environment. Using a vapour infusion method, the resultant gin is elegant, smooth and balanced with signature notes of juniper, citrus, aromatic sea buckthorn, floral pearls of heather and smoky rowan berries.
