Johnstons of Elgin

Our neighbours, Johnstons of Elgin, have been producing the finest woollens and cashmere knitwear since 1797, just around the corner from our distillery in the Scottish Highlands.

They are the only manufacturer in Scotland to maintain the capability to take the natural fibres from their raw state, through every stage of the process, to perfectly finished products.

Presenting the new collection

The event took place in the stunning Palm Court of the Waldorf Hilton Hotel; with its mirrored walls, tropical plants and leafy palm trees rising into the immense ceilings, the venue definitely set the bar high for the evening!

Together, we celebrated our shared Scottish heritage with a night showcasing Johnstons of Elgin’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection served alongside more than a few of our signature drinks.

Our signature Red Door G&T’s, with plenty of ice and garnished with fresh raspberries, were presented on trays as equally-as-glamorous guests perused the cutting-edge collection.

What did the guests think?

We were lucky enough to have a few of our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram gin-lovers join us on the evening. Here is what they had to say about the event…

“For their first Spring/Summer London Fashion Week Show in their 220-year history, Johnstons of Elgin combined creative flair with technological innovation to deliver stunning results. The dewy-skinned models draped in luxurious fabrics transported us to next season and sunnier climes. It was fantastic to see the international fashion community enjoying Red Door Gin (served over ice, with tonic and a raspberry garnish) as they discussed this outstanding collection and delicious serve.

“It was my first ever fashion event- made even better by some excellent G&Ts! The raspberry garnish gave a fruity kick to the serve which I thoroughly enjoyed and went perfectly with the rowanberry notes of the gin, making it taste almost chocolatey. Everyone I spoke to were loving the drinks!”
– Rory Faiers, The Gin Lord
